Fantastic Plastic
Oh I know, the title is a complete contradiction to all nunde beliefs but I am still being as nunde as possible(nunde does = natural after all).
So while we are on this topic maybe I can prod you to ponder. Do you buy plastic? Bottles, cutlery, plates, storage containers....the list goes on? Do your really need to? Next time you go to buy anything that is plastic ponder the less toxic alternatives that have been around for longer. Or ...raid your friends Tupperware:)
Have a great Monday girls.
Cheers
Melanie

hahaha you are too cute! I LOVE that idea. I am the same way. I only buy glass, etc. BUT...if I can use old plastic (but nice) to store things in, I will take advantage of that.
Happy Sunday!! :)
I have to confess that I buy and use plastic containers, as well as plastic wrap although I try to sparingly use it.
With the children grown up there is less (or no more need) for cups and cutlery, that any way I washed and rewashed before putting them back into their lunch boxes, inspite of the fact that they were all laughing at me...
Sophia - I have gone mad saving jars to replace plastic for food and it just makes it feel so much more cleaner. I still have Tupperware from another lifetime though.
Arance- thanks so much for stopping by and good on you for reusing plastic where you can. It all helps.
im naughty and i buy plastic containers so i can take lunch to work or store left overs in the freezers... Open to other ideas?
Who gives away their tupperware... most ppl are always trying to pinch it/not return it..lol..
Aisha - stainless steel containers are perfect for freezing and taking stuff to work in. Plastic is full of dioxins and you are my dearest friend so I dont want you being poisoned...go buy some stainless steel containers and now I hear you saying you cant microwave it and my response to that is firstly ...so what and secondly, if u must, then tip it on a ceramic plate then nuke it:)
Great idea... they are on the list to buy now... Thanks Mel your the greatest!
i really hate buying plastic, but when i have plastic in the house and i can't use it in the kitchen anymore i use it many times over in the studio...
cheers
A'isha
